Girls lacrosse


Germantown Academy 20, Notre Dame 11: Goal-happy Germantown Academy topped Notre Dame 20-11 on Thursday afternoon. Cooper Hall led the Patriots with six goals, while Hanna Bogorowski added five goals and three assists.

Emilie Van Blarcom had four goals for GA and Betsy Prezioso had a pair for goals and assists.

Patriots' goalie Allie Carrigan recorded 10 saves. GA is now 7-4 overall and 4-2 in Inter-Ac play.


Upper Dublin 15, Upper Moreland 5: Upper Dublin continued its dominance of the Suburban One American with a 15-5 win over Upper Moreland. Julie Cross once again led the Lady Cardinal offense with six goal and four assists.

Taylor D'Ginto followed suit, notching five goals and four assists. Rachel DiFrangia added a pair of goals, while Anna Trentini and Jillian Kenny rounded out the scoring with a goal each.

Sarah Gallagher recorded eight saves in net.


Boys lacrosse


Malvern Prep 10, Germantown Academy 6: GA played a solid game, but was eventually outlasted by Malvern Prep 10-6. Jim McAfee led the Patriots with three goals.

Garrett Trucksess had a goal and two assists, while Grant LaSorda and James Diver had the other two goals for GA. Colin Gavigan and Max Derham added an assist each.

GA goalie Ian Davies made 12 saves.





Council Rock South 14, Upper Dublin 9: CR South downed Upper Dublin 14-9 on Thursday afternoon. Despite scoring nine runs, the Lady Cardinals could not keep South off of the scoreboard and paid for it in the end.

Rachel Hyman went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, while Rachel Matricardi had three RBIs for Upper Dublin. Schneider led South going 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and three runs scored.


Upper Dublin 10, Wissahickon 0: Upper Dublin got a much-need 10-0 win over Suburban One American rival Wissahickon.

Upper Dublin's Sarah Tannenbaum had a huge day, going 3-for-3 with a double, triple and three RBIs. Rachel Hyman also had a good game, notching three hits, including a double, and knocking in a run.

Rebecca Matricardi tossed a complete game shutout for the Lady Cardinals.




Pennridge 14, Central Bucks South 2: Pennridge complete a comprehensive 14-2 beat down of CB South in Suburban One Continental action. Dan Shane and Dan Long each hit a home run in the victory.

The Rams scored at least one run in six of the seven innings. Dave Tatoian had a pair of doubles, while Shane and Sam Suder added a two-bagger each as well. Jeff Roedell had three singles.

Shane, Ryan Denner and Eric Wesolowski combined to hold the CB South bats at bay.
