The Landsale Catholic boys soccer team had to sweat it out, but finally they are District 12-AAA Champions.

Michael Lewis came through again with another last-minute game winner and the Crusaders defeated Franklin Towne Charter 2-1 in the District 12-AAA finals.

"Most of Michael's goals are scored with guys right on him or next to him,' LC boys soccer coach Joe Wilson said. "He has a knack for squeezing in-between guys. He has the ability to get it done when we need to have it. We didn't want to go to overtime with this team.'

Lewis scored both goals as the team played to a 1-1 halftime draw. While Wilson was satisfied with the 2nd half of play, Lewis did get a breather before the final minutes. Jake Saba provided the assist just as Wilson drew it up.

"We took the first half to get used to the field,' Wilson said. "We were moving slow. The wind started to pick up. 2nd half we settled down. We possessed the ball. Franklin Towne had no shots in the 2nd half, 2 in the first half. We started getting better as the game wore on.'

Andrew Rutz had the assist on Lewis' first goal.

LC will next face the fourth-place team from District 1 on Tuesday in the first round of the PIAA Touranment.
