St. Basil Academy 3, Villa Joseph Marie 0: St. Basil defeated Villa Joseph Marie 25-12, 25-21, 25-13 in conference action on Tuesday. Anglea Evans led all Panthers with 17 kills while Maura Francis chipped in six kills with Tara Lorenz and Sheila Plunkett adding 19 and eight assists, respectively.

Perkiomen Valley 3, Christopher Dock 0: Lanae Hunsberger led the team with eight kills and 15 digs, but Christopher Dock dropped a 25-17, 25-19, 26-24 decision to Perkiomen Valley.

Jackie Teed added seven kills and four blocks. Setter Kayla Dean had 15 assists while leading the team to a close comeback in the third set. Anna Martin had a season high 25 digs.

Dock entertains Faith Christian in its first league match Thursday.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy 3, Merion Mercy 0: Gwynedd Mercy Academy defeated Merion Mercy Academy in three games (25-15, 25-12, 25-18) in an AACA match on Tuesday. The win puts the Lady Monarchs' record at 3-1 overall and 2-1 in league play. Natalie Pisch led the offense with 14 kills and an ace for GMA, while Allie DeAngelis handed out 31 assists and served three aces. GMA will face St. Basil in its next match this Thursday.

Lansdale Catholic def. Archbishop Ryan (25-9, 25-10, 25-22): Lansdale Catholic started the Philadelphia Catholic League season off with a win against Archbishop Ryan. Setter Kaitlyn Kushman led the way with 19 assists, six aces, five kills and six digs.


Chelsey Dutkiewicz added seven kills and seven digs, while Alicia Kradzinski had five kills, four aces and 11 assists.

Gwynedd Mercy Academy 3, Springside-Chestnut Hill Academy 0: Natalie Pisch had 12 kills and six digs and Allie DeAngelis had 36 assists at Gwynedd Mercy Academy swept past Springside-Chestnut Hill Academy on Monday 25-11, 25-15, 25-15.

The Monarchs improved to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Catholic Academies League.

Upper Merion 3, Upper Dublin 0: Taylor Stek had seven kills and two blocks, but Upper Dublin dropped a 25-12, 25-16, 25-6 Suburban One American Conference match to Upper Merion on Monday.
