Adam Newhard was feeling it Wednesday night, and in part because of his shooting touch, the Palmyra boys' basketball team was able to take care of Red Land.

Newhard drained five 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 21 points in the Cougars' 59-46 victory over the Patriots in Lewisberry. The win improved Palmyra's record to 3-2 overall and 2-1 in the Keystone Division of the Mid-Penn Conference.

Logan Stovall complemented Newhard by scoring 12 points, and Trey Baker chipped in with eight.

Red Land held a 13-11 lead after the first quarter before Palmyra grabbed a 28-26 halftime lead. A 20-9 spurt in the third quarter by the Cougars upped their advantage to 48-35, and the Patriots weren't able to recover the rest of the way.
