Bonner-Prendergast claimed a pair of firsts at Sunday's City Championships on the Schuylkill River and had a group of four boats qualify for the Scholastic Rowing Association of America (SRAA) championships beginning Friday.

The SRAA nationals are being hosted by the Princeton National Rowing Association at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J.

Bonner-Prendie's Catholic champion varsity girls 4-plus boat added a first-place finish in the City race. The boat is composed of coxswain Alina Wesolowski, Emily Sheetz, sisters Anna and Claire Savage and Victoria Brooks.

On the boys side, Chris Nichols has matched the accomplishments of the Bonner-Prendie 4-plus boat, winning a Catholic title in the boys varsity single race and then adding a City championship Sunday.

Bonner-Prendie's two City championship boats will be joined by a girls JV 4-plus boat and a boys lightweight 2-plus boat at Mercer Lake.
