Kaylee Rutty knows how to make a good first impression.

Rutty, a Radnor goalie, made her first career start Tuesday and looked like a seasoned veteran in doing so. The junior turned away 10 shots in a 4-0 Central League blanking of Harriton to collect her first shutout.

Katie Quinn scored twice for the Raiders (6-7-0, 4-3-0 Central League), Lexi Kenneally had two assists and Jen Lewis scored once and set up another.

Also in the Central League:

Marple Newtown 3, Lower Merion 0: Lauren Ferguson rang up a hat trick for the Tigers (6-6-0, 3-4-0) and Megan Peterson turned away a half-dozen shots to earn her third shutout of the season as Marple Newtown rang up its fourth win of the past five outings.

Sam Walsh chipped in an assist on Ferguson's first tally.

Haverford 7, Penncrest 0: Tess Horan led the Fords' onslaught with a hat trick and two assists and Sophy Maute found the back of the cage twice to help Haverford (8-3-1, 5-1-1) cruise to its third straight shutout and sixth win of the past seven games.

Brielle McQuiston did all she could for the Lions (5-8-0, 2-5-0) as she robbed 20 shots.

Springfield 0, Upper Darby 0: Hoscia Nicholson came through with a big save on a second-half stroke to keep things even for the Royals (4-7-2, 0-5-2), who got strong defensive play from Kelly and Kerianne McGee.

Ally Scanlon stoned a dozen shots for the Cougars (1-8-1, 1-5-1).


Garnet Valley 6, Ridley 0: Brittany Talley and Shivani Chinnappan both fired home a pair of goals, Dana Davis had two assists and Hailey Valerio denied eight shots for her third straight shutout as the Jaguars (9-2-0, 6-0-0) rolled to their seventh win in eight games.

Caitlyn Johnson and Allie Costa combined to make 20 saves for Ridley.

Conestoga 8, Strath Haven 0: Caroline Boyd did yeoman's work in the Panthers' cage with a whopping 22 saves, but Strath Haven (7-5-0, 4-3-0) couldn't keep pace with the explosive Pioneers.

In the Inter-Ac League:

Episcopal Academy 5, Penn Charter 0: Margaux Paolino potted a pair of goals, Lexie Curry paired a goal with two helpers and All-Delco Gianna Pileggi turned away four shots for her sixth shutout of the year as the Churchwomen (9-0-0, 3-0-0) cruised to their fifth shutout in six games.

In the Del Val League:

Academy Park 1, Interboro 0: Kayla Payne took a feed from Rosemarie Reitman with 10:39 left in the game and buried the Knights' (3-9-0, 1-3-1) second shot of the night to knock off the defending league champions.

Jess Hinchey stopped a shot for the Bucs (3-5-0, 2-2-0).

In the Bicentennial League:

New Hope-Solebury 1, Delco Christian 0: Rachael Pope made four saves, but she couldn't save the Knights (6-6-2, 5-2-1) from falling.

Callie Avellino chipped in a goal and an assist for EA.

In nonleague action:

Notre Dame 4, Merion Mercy 2: Reigning Daily Times Player of the Year Moira Putsch and freshman running mate Quinn Maguire each found the back of the net twice for the Irish (8-0-0), while Amanda Odgers and Taylor Leonhardt racked up assists for Notre Dame.
