Doug Langley will not return to the sidelines as Avon Grove High School's football coach next season.

On Wednesday, the Daily Local News was forwarded an email that Avon Grove assistant principal/athletic director Robert Devers had originally sent out to fellow Ches-Mont League athletic directors announcing that the school was currently in the process of hiring a new football coach and staff.

In an attempt seeking comment on Wednesday night, Langley did not return a phone message and Devers did not respond to an email.

In two seasons as Avon Grove coach, Langley went 2-19 overall. The Red Devils were a combined 1-11 in the Ches-Mont League National Division during that time.

Since finishing 11-2 overall in 2009 and winning a share of the Ches-Mont League National Division title, the Red Devils have had four consecutive losing seasons. During that span, Avon Grove has gone a combined 7-34 overall while finishing in the bottom two spots of the division each season.

Avon Grove had only 13 seniors on its roster in 2013.
