These are members of The Evening Sun All-Area Baseball Team for the spring of 2013.

   Ryan Kehr, Sr., Littlestown
: The Eastern University-bound senior did it all for the Thunderbolts and was a key piece in their deep playoff run. The pitcher/infielder was the Bolts' leadoff hitter, and hit .349 with 18 runs scored, 11 RBIs and seven stolen bases. On the mound Kehr was dominant, going 6-3 with a 1.76 ERA and 64 strikeouts in 59 innings pitched. Kehr is a two-time all-area honoree.
   Brett Smith, Sr., Delone Catholic: Delone's "Mr. Everything" became the first player to win District 3 titles in football (quarterback), basketball (point guard) and baseball (infielder/pitcher) in the same school year. He led the team with a .448 average and had two doubles, two triples, a homer, 21 RBIs and 24 stolen bases. He was also 3-1 on the mound with a 2.86 ERA in 29.1 innings. He helped lead the Squires to the PIAA Class AA quarterfinals before falling to eventual state champ Loyalsock. He is headed to Bucknell University next year, where he will continue playing baseball.
   Parker Bean, Sr., South Western: The Liberty University-bound senior was huge for the Mustangs on the mound all season long. The three-time first-team honoree finished with a 4-2 record with a 2.27 ERA in 37 innings pitched and he struck out 56.
   Logan Mummert, Sr., Littlestown: The senior catcher/infielder hit .404 with 15 RBIs, 18 runs scored, eight doubles, a triple and 15 stolen bases. He is a two-time first-team honoree
   Kai Hess, Sr., Littlestown: The senior outfielder hit a team-high .431 with 26 RBIs, 22 runs scored, seven doubles, a triple, 13 stolen bases, and three homers. Heading to Frederick Community College next year, Hess also went 3-0 on the mound for the Bolts with two saves and a 2.30 ERA.
   Austin Buckley, Sr., Delone Catholic: The senior outfielder patrolled center field for the Squires and hit .420 with 11 extra-base hits, including two homers and 32 RBIs. He was also 17-for-18 in stolen bases. Buckley will continue his playing career next year at Frederick Community College.
   Levi Krause, Sr., Spring Grove: The All-Area Player of the Year was a standout two-way player for the Rockets. Offensively, he hit .397 with 25 hits, 16 runs scored, 17 RBIs and five extra base hits. He was even more dominant on the mound where he went 4-2 with a 1.43 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 341/3 innings pitched. He will continue his baseball playing career at California University of Pennsylvania.
   Dalton Haymaker, Jr., Delone Catholic: The junior was the ace for the Squires all season long, pitching one-third of all of Delone's innings this season. He went 5-1 with 1.36 ERA in 511/3 innings pitched. He threw four complete games including two shutouts. He struck out 38 batters and earned the win in the Squires' district championship victory.
   Nick Spangler, Jr., Spring Grove: The junior hit .429 for the Rockets with 16 runs, 17 RBIs, five doubles and three triples. He showed incredible discipline at the plate, walking 19 times and only striking out twice all season. He also stole nine bases.
