Boys' Golfer of the Year

Brandon Greenplate, Dallastown: A senior four-time All-Star and two-time Player of the Year, Greenplate led Division I with a 76.00 scoring average shooting a season low 73 at South Hills. He also qualified for the District 3 tournament, where he shot a 79 that placed him in a tie for 23rd.

Greenplate along with fellow senior All-Star Byron Markle helped lead Dallastown to a runaway Division I championship.

Girls' Golfer of the Year

Victoria Ross, Spring Grove: Ross, a junior, won her second straight YAIAA individual championship with a round of 72 -- 10 strokes better than her regular-season average of 82.0. In District 3 play she shot rounds of 74 and 75 to earn third place and qualify for the regional tournament, where she shot an 88 to finish in a tie for 17th.

"It was disappointing," coach Dave Childress said of the regional showing. "I think she was disappointed, but Tori's thing right now is to prepare herself for the college level. To miss out like that is a learning experience. Sometimes losing like that is a good thing."

Dallastown senior Byron Markle makes second appearance on the Division I All-Star roster as a two-time District 3 qualifier. ... Red Lion's Kevin Crumbling earned his first all-star nod after qualifying for the District 3 tournament as a sophomore. ... Central York sophomore Gus Minkin reached the PIAA East Regional tournament. Dylan Reichard played the No. 2 position for Red Lion this year. He averaged 79.29, which ranked him tied for sixth place in Division I. His personal best was a 69 during the YAIAA championships, which earned him a second-place finish.
