YAIAA Division II field hockey

Players of the Year

Lyndsey Duty, Kennard-Dale: A three-year starter, Duty notched a team-high nine goals to go along with four assists this season from the center-mid position for the Division II tri-champs.

"Lyndsey is a leader on and off the field with tremendous stick skills, athleticism and a firm understanding of the game and positioning," Rams coach Andrea Walton said of the two-time team MVP. "She leads the team with goals and assists, and is just as important in our defensive end."

"She is a standout athlete that works hard throughout the entire year to help lead her team."

A great athlete indeed, as Duty was an all-star on the lacrosse field in the spring and will likely start on the Kennard-Dale girls' basketball team this season.

Taylor Mumley, Susquehannock: The senior Mumley has played all four seasons on the Warriors' varsity squad. It is the second straight Player of the Year honor for the three-time all-star.

Mumley was not only one of the team's top scorers, but she also was a key defender for the Division II tri-champions.

She played for the East Coast club team and participated in the USA Futures program and signed on to play Division I field hockey at Robert Morris University, with plans to study forensics.
